Geometry Black Gorilla

Geometry Black Gorilla is a running game where you play as a gorilla, not a cube. A big grey gorilla made of blocky squares runs along a white floor. You click to make it jump over spike blocks. Nobody signed their name in the game’s files. RobTop didn’t make it either.

The gorilla is the best part. It’s big and funny, and it’s a nice change from the usual cube. The name says black, but it looked grey to us.

How many levels are on the Black Gorilla first page?

Five. Every card wears a face, and the face tells you how tough the level is. First comes a blue laughing face, then a yellow unsure face. After that there’s a red angry face, a pink screaming face and a purple demon with horns. All five said 0%, and none had a lock.

A big white arrow on the right leads to a next page. We didn’t open it, so the total is still unknown to us.

For parents: the demon face is only a sign for a hard level. We saw nothing scary in the first level.

How do you make the gorilla jump over the spike blocks?

Use the mouse. Click a card to open a level. Then each click makes the gorilla jump. The first level has a dark grey background of stacked boxes, with white bars for the floor and the roof. Soon you reach a row of five squares with white edges, and each one has a spike on top. We got to 3%. After a crash, the level reloads by itself and you go again.

Here’s the bad part. The first time we clicked into Level 1, the screen went blank and white. We loaded the page again, and the second time it worked. So if all you see is white, try once more. The level cards took 5 to 15 seconds to show up. We didn’t see any ads.

Does Geometry Black Gorilla work on phones?

Yes. The gorilla game spans the full width of a phone, with a thin strip from the host site underneath. There are no words to read, only faces, percents and small pictures. The game tries to save your best percent after each run. We didn’t close the page and come back to check it.
