Halloween Geometry Dash

Halloween Geometry Dash puts a small cube in front of a Halloween picture. The cube moves forward on its own, and you hop over rows of red blocks. Round gold coins with a witch on a broom sit on the ground. Nobody’s name is in the game’s files, so we can’t tell you who made it. We can tell you RobTop, the Geometry Dash team, wasn’t part of it.

Is Halloween Geometry Dash scary for young kids?

Not very. The picture behind you shows carved pumpkins that glow, a bare tree and a haunted house. It looks like a photo, not a cartoon. The spookiest things we saw were the pumpkins and that old house. There were no ghosts to dodge in our run.

The title screen is the best part. It’s one big glowing jack-o’-lantern with a single play button, so you’re playing in a second.

Why are there Spider-Man faces on the red blocks?

We don’t know, and it bugged us. The red blocks you jump over have Spider-Man mask faces on them. That art is borrowed from Spider-Man, and it has nothing to do with Halloween. It looks out of place next to the pumpkins.

How many levels does Halloween Geometry Dash have?

The SELECT LEVEL screen shows 7 tiles with numbers 1 to 7. We didn’t see any locks drawn on them. We played Level 1. To jump, we used both the space bar and the mouse, and our score and stars went up as we pressed. At the top you see DEATHS, SCORE and STARS. Nothing shows how close you are to the end.

When we opened the game, DEATHS already said 20. We hadn’t died once yet. Halloween Geometry Dash is the same game as Winter Dash with new pictures. Winter Dash has a cube in a Santa hat and gifts where this one has pumpkins. It looks like the two keep one count of deaths between them. So if you fall a lot in the snowy one, the number follows you here.

Playing the pumpkin runner on a phone

It stays sideways. Hold a phone upright and the game shrinks to a thin band in the middle. Tip the phone over for a bigger view. We didn’t see any ads. There’s a red gamepad button on the level screen, but we didn’t press it.
