Geometry Dash Black Dragon
Geometry Dash Black Dragon is a flying game. You steer a purple, spiky dragon with a red eye. It leaves a red trail as it goes. The maker’s name isn’t on the screen, but the game’s files say Potapov Developer. So it’s a fan game, and RobTop, who made Geometry Dash, didn’t make it.
A mouse picture shows you how to fly the dragon
There’s no start menu and no level list. The game opens straight into a run. A gray mouse picture shows up first, with a little clicking motion. That’s your hint. Click the mouse to fly. We liked this a lot, because you know what to do without reading anything.
The level is black. The floor is made of purple squares sitting on red squares. A tall purple pillar hangs down from the top, and you have to get past it. The dragon starts at the middle height, near the left side.
Can the Black Dragon breathe fire or break blocks?
We didn’t see either one in our short test. All we saw it do was fly. So we won’t tell you it breathes fire when we never saw it happen.
What does 2/113 mean in the corner?
There’s a counter at the top left, next to the sound button. On our run it said 2/113. We couldn’t tell what the 113 counts. In the top right there’s another counter with a purple smiling face next to it. Ours stayed at 0.
The home button that only uses pictures
Here’s the bad thing. If you press the home button, a screen asks if you’re sure. It has no words, just a green house, a green tick and a red X. And since there’s no start menu, there isn’t really a home to go back to.
On a phone held upright, the game fills the full width of the screen. A thin website bar sits under it. We didn’t see any ads.
Is Black Dragon the same as Black Ball?
No. The files call Black Dragon “Shar”, which is Russian for “ball”. That sounds like a link to Geometry Dash Black Ball, but the two were made from different files. Black Ball has a spiky ball that flips between floor and ceiling.
For another flying game where each tap lifts you up, try Geometry Dash ufo and its tiny saucer. To go back to plain cube jumping, the home page has a game made like the first Geometry Dash levels.
