The Geometry Dash Meltdown on this page is a copy made by fans. It isn’t RobTop’s app. The title screen looks right, with “Meltdown” in orange dripping letters over a wall of orange rock. But there’s only one level you can play, and it’s called The Seven Seas.

How many levels does the web copy of Meltdown have?

Just one. RobTop’s real Meltdown came out on 19 December 2015. Wikipedia says it has three levels. They’re The Seven Seas, Viking Arena and Airborne Robots, all with music by F-777. RobTop’s app is free, and it’s still on Google Play.

In this copy, the level list has two pages. The first is The Seven Seas, with 1 star and a blue Easy face. The second is a red card that says “Coming Soon”. Press the arrow again and you’re back at The Seven Seas. Viking Arena and Airborne Robots aren’t in it at all.

White spikes on a dark floor in The Seven Seas

The menu is orange, but the level is dark. It has a gray background and a gray floor. The spikes are drawn with white lines, so you can see them. Yellow balls sit on thin black poles along the way. You play as a cyan cube with yellow marks. It’s the same cube as in the Geometry Dash World copy on this site.

Our best on The Seven Seas was 3%

The mouse button and the space bar both jump. Hold one down, and the cube jumps each time it lands. When you crash, you go straight back to the start. That’s the good part. We held the mouse button for about eight seconds. In that time we went from try 6 to try 9. Our best went from 1% to 3%.

RobTop calls this level Easy, but it felt hard to us. The spikes come fast, and holding the button won’t carry you through. For more practice, Geometry Dash Clone has seven cube levels, and you can play any of them.

Faded Meltdown buttons and a tiny phone view

The menu has a play button in the middle. Below it is a row of round buttons. Only the gear looks ready. The trophy, stats and music buttons are faded. The bad part is simple: one level isn’t much to play. On a phone held up straight, the game shrinks to a thin strip. The white spikes are hard to see there.

For RobTop’s first game instead of a side game, try the Geometry Dash game on our home page. It’s a copy of that game’s first levels. The Geometry Dash levels page lists more.
